Secure by Design, a design and installation division of Independent Security Consultancy ISC was launched by Renford Brand (MD) in order to:

• Planning and design is done personally by professional consultant Renford Brand highly experienced (over 30 years) and fully qualified in both security planning and counter intelligence.

Installations are individually tailored in keeping with our philosophy of staying ahead of the criminal. • Vulnerability Analysis: All planning is preceded by a comprehensive vulnerability analysis done by a qualified risk analyst – not a sales consultant or contractor. The risk analysis, an essential part of any security plan, identifies most likely threats, prioritises risks and reduces costs by ensuring that money is not wasted on less important areas.

• Holistic planning includes: Integrated technology (alarms, layered concealed early warning systems, CCTV, specialised lighting, home automation), physical security (fences, gates, glazing), safe rooms, access control, and counter intelligence. These integrated designs have an exceptionally high resistance to defeat and low false alarm rate. Our own intrusion tests show that standard installations are no longer effective. • Aesthetics: Covert installations, crime prevention through environmental and architectural design (CPTED) concepts reduce unsightly visual impact. Internal equipment is selected and customised to blend with interior designs and external installations camouflaged or hidden to merge with landscaping architecture.
